A fibrous thallus (Gaston Naessens) appears similar to a strand of fibre in live blood, often much larger than the surrounding RBCs. Motile particles are often visible within it (before bursting) or outside it after bursting at the end that burst.

Appearance

A fibrous thallus (Gaston Naessens) appears similar to a strand of fibre in live blood, often much larger than the surrounding RBCs. Motile particles are often visible within it (before bursting) or outside it after bursting at the end that burst.

Pleomorphic Perspective

The presence of a fibrous thallus is an indication that the colloidal development has progressed through the full somatid macrocycle. These pathogenic forms, believed by Naessens to be mycelial stalks, are always associated with chronic degenerative conditions, usually due to chronic acidity of the terrain brought on by ingestion of coffee, sugar, carbonated drinks and other acid-forming foods.

Relevance

A thallus is not seen in healthy blood.
