Increased risk of thrombosis is indicated by the presence of the following 3 anomalies in the working area of the sample:
- Rouleau and/or RBC aggregation
- Thrombocyte aggregation
- Fibrin (diffuse)
This combination of anomalies is suggestive of increased blood viscosity and is associated with an increased risk of thrombosis and thromboembolism (blood clots). This is a potentially serious finding and correlates with conditions related to blood vessel obstruction, tissue hypoxia (under-oxygenation) and cell death as seen in heart attacks and strokes. It is also often observed in patients with deep venous thrombosis (DVT). High doses of omega-3, vitamin E and Lumbrokinase (Lumbrozyme) / Nattokinase is helpful to address this anomaly, which is often the highest priority to address when observed.
